Summer Field School of the Archaeological Training Excavation

Summer School
The summer field school at Pohansko near Břeclav focuses on the archaeological excavation methods: the archaeological features digging, written-, drawn- and photo documentation of archeological features, work with the total station, laboratory processing of the findings. The program of the summer school consists of daily terrain work - excavation and documentation, which will be accompanied by lectures connected with the history of site Pohansko and with the fieldwork.
This summer school is organized by the Department of Archaeology and Museology, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University.
Content
The full program consists of four weeks spent archaeological field research (working hours from 7:00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m. with lunch break). The supplementary lectures are incorporated into the working hours. No work during the weekend. The specific term of the summer school will be particularized during spring 2020.
